IMHO Yahoo is filtering for links acquired to fast. I had a new site that was ranked top 10 in Yahoo and only had a few links pointing to it. After I turned on the juice, the site was gone the next day. It is still indexed and shows up for some minor key phrases but is no longer showing for the primary keywords.
To test this I tried this on another new site which had first page rankings on yahoo for the primary key phrase. After adding the extra juice it also fell the next day from yahoo.
My conclusion is this: Yahoo has a filter that is sandboxing a site based on the number of links acquire verses the ratio of links it currently has. I do believe age of the site and link play an important part in this filter. To be honest this filter reminds me of the google sandbox filter when it first came out 14 to 16 months ago. It does look and act very similar.
Yahoo is becoming a lot like google, IMHO this SE is also going to require time to get ranked in. If Yahoo continues to use this algo, it is a sure fire way to help MSN propel past Yahoo for the second largest market share.
