Your vertical menu push your site content down too much, try to put it in a sidebar or horizontal menu.

I like the site quite a bit. I especially like the the way the pictures change but still not too busy looking.

The white links in the navigation are hard to see on the pale blue background. On the interior pages the top navigation is wrapping down to a second row.
