I could use some feedback!
Hey everybody,
O.K. so I have finished most of the major stuff for my site, at least I think. I would really appreaciate any feedback anyone has, good or bad. So please check out my site and let me know what you think.
Thanks,
J.T.

Hey, JT, it's me again! You've done a good job with your Point2 site. I'm not the SEO expert so I'll leave that up to someone else. I'll go over a couple of other things.
First, I personally don't like the words to overflow on the left side tabs. Maybe shorten it to Northern Suburb Info or N Suburb Information & NW.
On your last tab, Realtor Links, I have a couple of questions/suggestions. First, where are these links going? I can't find a reciprocal links page. Second, it's better to be safe than sorry about using the word "links" at all. It is now part of your url as you've named your page Realtor Links. Change it to partners or resources or something else. Get rid of the links word in your title & tab & paragraph heading.
Lastly, you need your contact information on each page. You never know what page will compel a visitor to want to contact you so don't make them search for the info. It doesn't have to be the entire photo contact section. I just add my contact info manually without another photo (since my photo is embedded in my site's header).
My only other suggestion, and this is purely personal, is to add some spice with some photos. For instance, your Buyer Information page looks a little blah & plain. Looks unfinished, which maybe it is. I know all sites are constant works in progress.

JT...Great looking Site...to expand on Judyo...most definetly add your contact info and consider your own 800# I get about 80% of my calls from the 800# also you might want to hide your e-mail that will help to eliminate Spam...We are in the process of doing the same on all our sites because we are getting hammered with Spam...
I will let the SEO Pros help you with the rest!

Just a few quick observations:
Move your search button on the left navigation bar up under the “Home” button. Most visitors are there for that purpose only. Same applies in your “Buyer” section.
Change your font on your 3 section headings to either arial or verdana to match the rest of the page. I would also change the font color from black.
The overall page doesn’t look too bad, but it does load very slowly. You may lose some of your dialup traffic due to this.
Lose the “Top 100” button. You won’t get enough traffic or PR to justify giving them a home page link.

Oh dear. Another point 2 site. They must be doing something right but...
Haven't got time to go into details but from a quick glance it seams that everything I said to Carol applies here too

Thanks everyone............great advice and will be fixing those things tomorrow. Judy, do you know of any good sites to get free pictures of Chicago?
Sarah, I checked what you wrote to carol in the other forum.......thank you, but I have no idea what any of that means or how to fix it. Any suggestions on where I can go to fix it other than getting a degree in programming?
thanks,
J.T.

JT, we can only keep informing Point2 about these items. I've brought things up in the forums but half the time I can't explain it right. I guess Carol did post some of Sarah's suggestions on the Point2 forum so we'll see.
Several people got penalized a while back when Point2 didn't redirect multiple domains properly. It took a few arguments to get them to realize they were wrong. As I said in the other forum, they have claimed to be SEO experts but the real experts tell us about all the crappy code & forms & stuff that we, as end users, can't control.
My new broker provided me with photos and graphics. I don't know any other sources.
