Judy - I know what you mean about point 2. I think they are experiencing some "growing pains." They are growing pretty fast, and while they have great tools and a great community of agents already, they still have work to do. Especially in areas where we, as agents, don't know a whole lot. (i.e. - seo,web design, etc.)
Oh, I also wanted to know how I set up my links in the bottom of my messages? Is that just the signature portion?
Thanks,
J.T.

JT,
The links are part of your signature that you can set up.

Thanks Judy, I thought that was what it was. I had another question for you. I was just at your site and I saw the realestateabc content that you have on there. I was wondering what your thoughts were on it. Is it helpful for you? Are you happy with it? Why you chose that over Realty Times or Inman News?
Thanks,
J.T.

If you need help setting up your signature J.T., PM me and I will walk you through it.
I believe after you add your signature it will retroactively propagate to all of your previous post.

Thanks Mack,
I did add a signature but I wanted to know if it was better to have the link and a description, or just links like yours? I didn't check, are those all to the same site or to all of your different sites?
Also, it doesn't look like my previous posts have gotten the signatures yet. I just did it today, so it may take awhile
Thanks,
J.T.

I've read that it's good to have text to go along with your url but I'd like to hear an expert's opinion on this.

SEO Guy swears by it and he is good at what he does.

There is a lot of varying opinions about having multiple links to the same site in your signature. Several folks that I know do it for reasons of additional anchor text and it does work from what I have seen.
For example, instead of using your domain name as your link, you could link Chicago real estate and Chicago Homes with all of your text in-between.
BTW - Not sure why the sig did not take on the earlier post. I will look into it.

If those are the search terms you are trying to rank in that is fine. If you are trying to rank Chicago real estate, then you are diluting the anchor text by adding “area” or “suburbs”.
You can use the Overture Tool to get an idea about how many times a phrase is searched.
But you are starting to get the idea.
