That is my biggest problem with FSBO’s Al.
Sellers do not know real estate laws and regulations and can open themselves up to major litigation.
On the other side of the transaction, Buyers are learning that buying a FSBO can be risky. By
not having a REALTOR® involved, the Buyer opens themselves up the possibility of discovering flaws in the property they purchased after the seller has moved to another part of the country.
REALTORS® are held to a high standard and are much more careful about making sure that all of the “i”s are doted and “t”s crossed. And should a problem arise after a sale, while the Seller may have relocated the REALTOR® is still local and available to address the problem.
Having a REALTOR® involved just makes good
dollars and
sense on both sides of the real estate transaction.
