Home Sales
What do you think about home sales? Will they rise in the upcoming months? According to reports existing not only did home sales decline at the end of last year, but also townhomes, condos and co-ops sales were down as well.

I dont see much of a rise in sales in the south side of america thanks to high-er rates from insurance companies, mortgage companies, etc etc. After Billions were payed out victims of Katrina.
until rates go down again it should be preety tight.
(just my prediction, but where their is destruction, their is production )

Well, here in the Las Vegas real estate market, much like many others, the summer months always pick up. I also think that an increase in condo and tonw home sales will take place due to the high median price points here in the valley. Sales are always slower in the winter and holiday months and then pick up after the first of the year. How are things within each of your markets right now?

Doin fine in Miami, but I just read that Las Vegas actually broke all records for homes sales in the first quarter. I just have to ask, can anything slow down the power house we call Las Vegas?

We're still going strong in Portland, though some high end homes do sit on the market a little longer. But they still move. We're expecting another incredible year in Oregon.

Yes, I feel that not only will the real estate market pick up within the summer months, but I know that here in the Las Vegas real estate market for example, condos in particular are a major commoity. Because of the median price point for a Las Vegas home, condos are on the rise due to being affordable!

Yep, the Las Vegas real estate market is pretty much on hold at this point! It is, however, picking up after the first of the year, but overall, I feel that it will take at least a year or so to balance out.
