Thanks,
Yes even a simple solution such as display random page Module for Jooma could do the trick
where all you would need to do is supply Path-to-OR-installation/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=1

and supply say 4 such Urls for the Joomla module to rotate from.
A bit crude really.. but until someone codes a plugin

Regards

Hi Guys,

I know this is an old thread but I have been on a hiatus for awhile due to a physical problem. I would like to add my 2 cents because this is something I have had a long term interest in. Before my absence I developed an OR plug-in for WP and the client was satisfied with the results. I talked with Jared about the plug-in and shared my concept with him. In one posts his posts jared stated that the only reason he did not like the OR cms integration was because it did not render SEO friendly urls. While that may or may not be a good reason it is not the best reason. The best reason is that the OR concept is flawed because it necessitates hacking of the core files. So while you may get it to work (somewhat), a minor upgrade of either system has the potential for a cascading effect and you are back to step one. I suggested to Jared that if you solve the integration problem you also solve the SEO urls and eliminate other bugs found in the OR cms integration. I had him contact the programmer who assisted me with the OR WP plug-in. Jared eventually fired Mike and had to hire a second programmer to finish the project which is apparently working well.

Another issue was brought up about the OR template system. As an original contributor of the xhtml/css to the 2.xxx template I did not understand why the templating system was changed. It was and still is--if you bypass the OR templating-- a trivial task to convert any template (including WP and Joomla) into an OR template. The only requirement is that the content area be able to accommodate the listing details page which if I remember correctly is a length of 525px. You can also convert a Monster Template to OR but I wouldn't recommend that.
