For EZPR just go to Home - EZ Pro Realty to download the component.

Ohhhh crap, okay will I have him on MSN right now but it shows him "Away" let me see when he comes back what the deal is. I have a copy running on my LiveDemoSite.com but its BETA2 and we had tested a new slider feature so its buggy.

I'll find out what the deal is with the download.

Actually, we just fixed the CMS Realty search redirect to homepage issue. You can see the fix on the fourms.

Link to fix is here: Search page not working correctly?

I wait to see if this new J!1.5 thing materializes. I hope its better than the websites related to it, because they are bad and confusing.

Thanks for the heads up on that Ductape,
I have bookmarked that page just in case I ever do see myself returning to Cmsrealty.

To be honest: I'd rather just duplicate my Joomla template and run OR separately (If I eventually fine myself with OR) Right now I'm hoping to see if indeed EzPro is the way to go.
if only i can download it!

Actually, I really do run OR separately. I dont use the user synching, because the only people who need to login are people who save searches, and you get the prompt to login when you go to the saved searches page.

I have OR in a separate databse, really all CMS Realty is doing for me is the featured properties module and simplifying the process of showing OR pages, i have had some lame issues with J!1.5 wrappers and Auto Height. The wrapper thing is really not ideal.

Also, the templates I use would be a bit too time consuming to recreate for OR. Thats teh whole reason to use Joomla if you ask me is the nice templates. OR has its own templating system so I would just use that if i wanted a simple template. But, if you want to use a YooTheme or Rockettheme or some other slick template, i think that would get too time consuming to recreate in OR. Not worth the paycheck for me.

Slick Ducttape
I like your site.

I'm using rocket theme too. What I did was simply open up a minimal page in Joomla with my template. Then save the entire page from FireFox.
Next import into Dreamweaver and delete out any modules from the template.
Next I added the Css from OR to the CSS of the rocket theme template. (This is the area im lacking in.. css so will just give someone to clean it up when im finally finished)

The only setback for me this far from adopting OR is the fact that multiple agents / owners cant post properties in an intuitive way. The Add listing feature of OR is ancient. (no sub category or dynamic chaining of State--->City---->locality.

Here's the link to the demo: Welcome
(dont get confused with the menus.. the only ones that work for OR are on the left) OR is still sitting in the background not live yet.

Regards

is that EZRealty you have running for searches? I just couldnt stand the license for that one.

Your menus use mootools and such for dropdowns, how are you going to do all that in OR?

Yes Ducttape its ezrealty.
Actually at the time it was the only joomla script (in fact it still is) that was doing the job for me. Now as teh need is growing I'm looking for a more scalable platform.

about the menus etc, like i said just go to any of your joomla pages, and save the entire page from your browser , I use firefox.

Then also save the Css files of your Joomla template.
Open in Dream weaver, and delete any module boxes while keeping the menu stuff intact.
Save this from Dreamweaver as main.html.
This main.html will be your page in OR - whichever template you use in OR.
(also save it as main.html in the admin side of OR)
Then type in {content} anywhere in this page for main stuff and in one of the module positions type {featured_vertical} or the similar text for featured listings.

Then save all the Css files of your joomla template in the OR template directory where you saved your main.html.

All should work fine. Of course some of OR's css stuff for tables etc would need to be copied and fine tuned.

The menu links will work fine from Joomla as they will access directly the URLs of the associated OR section.
For example if you go to Welcome
you will see that on the Properties Menu section the first dropdown links to the View All properties page of OR
