Hi members,

I just got my first real estate website and would like to know how I can get traffic to my website. I am going to be doing the paper click method. Is there a better and cheaper method. Please help me! Thanks.

Janet,

Congratulations on your new website. Post your URL - if we can see what you have so far, we could probably make some suggestions.

Pay Per Click (PPC) can be an effective way to get traffic fairly quickly. You should also optimize your site for the search engines to start climbing up the ranks in the Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs). Getting traffic from good placement on the search engines should be your long-term goal so that you aren't paying for traffic forever.

Also, promote your website everywhere you can. Put your URL on every piece of paper where your name appears, on your yard signs, etc etc

Other than that, it's difficult to give any more ideas without knowing more about your site and your business.

Best of luck,

Kathleen

You should also make sure that your web address is PROMINENT on all of your print media advertising and collateral. Make sure that any print media advertising also includes a blurb about the additional information that can be found on your site.

Who, me? Or Kathleen? I think I would remember someone from CT - I grew up in Newtown.

No, I was talking about Kathleen. Do you have any suggestions to get traffic to my website besides SEO.

JC... Having been in your shoes over three years ago...I would recommend hiring an SEO Expert like HHI! IMHO...You don't want to waste any time or money! It is very easy do both in this industry!

I agree with SDRE. Do it right the first time around and hire a professional.
