Default Which Company and Why?

Why did you choose your current brokerage? Have you ever left one company and gone to another, if so, why?

I originally went to RE/MAX becasue of their world-wide name recognition. I signed up with my specific brokerage because I loved that they were very family-oriented! I have never left, I am very conent there

I originally was with a broker that was a friend but the company was so small and not opportunistic so I am very happy with Re/Max and the recognition and opportunity.

I originally was with Coldwell Banker and recently went over to Prudential. I switched because Prudential has better technology that's in line with what I'm doing. And...they treat their agents more like adults.

I originally started with Century 21 Moneyworld and then Century 21 Aadvantage Gold, but left them too. I finally ended up with North American Realty of Nevada. They are a much smaller real estate company, so they are constantly providing for their agents. The bigger the company you are with, the more you are treated as a number, in my opinion. But again, only my opinion.

Default Keller Williams

I started with Keyes Company Realtors, a large regional in Florida, when our broker left to start her own brokerage I followed her. Keyes has a strong presence in Dade and Broward county - but with the commission splits (start at 50%) transaction fees, and office fees it was tough to see that they were providing value compared to there expenses.

I liked the small brokerage enviroment - but when I learned more about the Keller Williams program I became an evangelist.

Why?

1) Most important is that Keller Williams thinks of us (agents) as partners instead of just replaceable contractors! - To me their message has played out to exceed my expections on this...The agents at each office are at minimum partners in the business decisions if not the deciding factor...

2) Compensation - the splits are competitive with the best out there. In our office agents move to 100% after 25K to KW. And if we ellect to charge a transaction fee we keep 100% of that as well

3) The profit sharing program results in three seperate advantages. First the agent that brings a person on has an incentive to help that agent suceed! Second, the fact that the profitability of the office determines the amount of profit share encourages everyone in the office to help each other. And of course the passive income stream is a great advantage as well. We have a number of agents that are making great money just on their profit share and when they retire they keep that income stream.

I could not be happier with my decision...Only been with KW a couple months - but I took the time to study the options and in my opinion the best two options were Remax and Keller Williams. Both awesome programs...I gave the edge to KW for the profit sharing and culture.
