My broker asked me to have the client fax a copy of his drivers license so I can fax it to our office before I go out with them. I have heard horror stories of missing female real estate agents. I heard their was a Realtor in Beverly Hills who did an open house and she was missing three days later they found her body in the trunk of her mercedes in San Diego. It is a scary world but you can never be too car

You know what? If I was a BIC I would be very careful about discussing or placing in writing any policies or procedures specifically for women showing homes.
Common sense says it's a good idea. But someday, somewhere it will turn into a discrimination suit. On the flip side, if you put in a policy for female agents and a male agents gets injured or killed you will open yourself up to a reverse discrimination lawsuit.
Sad, yes. But that's the litigious world we live in today.
To be on the safe side if you discuss or implement a policy it should state "any agent" and not make distinctions between male and female.

HHI ...I couldn't agree more! These are only safety recommendations that other offices are currently using in the field! I had someone ask what other offices where using and I thought since this is a open public forum...Not to be taken for any other purposes than discussion!
So to be perfectly clear...let me reword this to say
What safety procedures are offices using when it comes to Agents showing clients properties?

Use common sense do not meet a client way out somewhere, always open the door and let them go in first, never have your back turned to them, always have your phone and keys in your hand.
