Dumb and seemingly getting stupider by the minute.

Obama's speeches are nothing but empty fluff and his followers lap it up as if he were actually saying something of substance.

Whenever I hear Obama speak the phrase that comes to mind is "charismatic leader". And by that I mean the Book of Revelations reference.

Neal I am not sure about NAR. I have been way too busy to even check. Hopefully one of our other Members could check into that.

BTGOG Sen. Hillary Clinton won the Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island primaries last night. Now while I do NOT support Sen. Clinton I will sleep easier if the race for the Whitehouse is between Clinton and McCain.
I'd like to see a McCain/Huckabee ticket. I would have preferred Huck getting top billing, but, it is what it is, at this point.

Huckabee would be the last choice for McCain. While I do like some of Huckabees stances on morality and family values, he is too liberal or moderate on other key issues. And that's why McCain probably won't consider him.

McCain needs the die hard conservatives on his side. If he does not get them the Democratic nominee could win by default. My guess is that some of McCains choices will be people like Tom Ridge or Mark Sanford. Of these two, Ridge has some baggage, and Sanford lacks name recognition.

There are probably half a dozen other strong, conservative candidates that would foot the bill as well.

Default Elections 08

The first few posts above got slightly off topic in the Barack Obama STOP FRAUD Act so I moved them to their own thread.

As the ramifications of this election become clearer passions are running higher but I would urge all Members to not engage in bashing any candidate. Let’s discuss differences in policy, direction, strategy, security, the economy and have a healthy debate (not a food fight).

When posting please try and contribute to the conversation. One liners really do more harm than good. Put a little thought into it.

This is a VERY important topic that concerns us all.

Thanks,

~Mack

I don't think Obama is going to get the nomination.

I heard a good analogy yesterday on the radio. Obama is like a personal dating add. slightly blurry picture, very vague interests, speaks in general terms about themselves.

Typically if you go meet such a person for coffee or a date, you end up very disappointed at the results. I think now the American people are getting their date with Obama and the likelihood is that they will be disappointed.

I pray you are right Jim.

That really is a great analogy.

I must admit that I was really starting to warm up to Sen. Barack Obama prior to my wife finding out about his STOP FRAUD Act legislation. As my wife continues research on Sen. Obama for her real estate blog, she uncovers more disturbing facts every day.

Sen. Barack Obama is an extremely charismatic individual on the surface. But the more I know about Obama the less I like. If the Democrats nominate Sen. Barack Obama it will demonstrate how little they think and pay attention IMHO. A “Chicken in every pot” will not work in today’s global economy. Nations all around the world are turning away from socialism’s failed policy and we are running towards it. A Barack Obama Presidency would mean economic chaos in the United States.

That is all I can say on Sen. Barack Obama at this point. I got in trouble big time on the home front for releasing Rhonda’s research on PREN before it was posted on her blog.

Jim I understand you are a blogger too. I will say there is a lot of information on Sen. Barack Obama out there that needs to be illuminated. We MUST get the word out.

I received a couple of PMs questioning why I started this thread in “Real Estate Shop Talk”. It is simple. I am 55 years old and I can not remember a more critical election or one that has the potential of creating devastating and far reaching ramifications.

Without a decent economy we have no real estate industry. Without national security we have no real estate industry. Without reining in legislators that would recklessly expose us all to litigation and further tighten the mortgage crunch we have no real estate industry. So this Election 08 thread has a LOT to do with the real estate industry.

Talking Politics huh, NO Huckabee and McCain is to old. The next president will be a democrat who ever that is going to be. Personally I think Obama will get it but Hillary is staying around thats for sure.

Those are interesting numbers. I can tell you are from San Diego with all those illegals down there. I really don't here about it as much being up on the Canadian border. I think we need to take a really close look at the border issue. Have you heard of the Amero yet? Google it if you haven't people seem to be talking about it.
