Has anyone thought of starting a list of Do-Follow Blogs, mainly I was thinking that it would be a list the blogs of this forum which also happen to be Do-Follow for comments.

My Blog Convent Station Real Estate has the do-follow plugin installed, and I manually moderate the comments.

I am using Lucia'sLinkLove do-follow plug-in, and for spam control I am using Akismet.

I was thinking that it would be great to start a sticky thread with the first post having the list of do-follow blogs in it.

What do you think Mack

It is a great idea Jim IMHO.

I have a do-follow list of blogs started on a different forum but it covers mainly non-real estate topics and not of interest to most REALTORS®.

So since it is your thread Jim how about outlining some brief TOS or restrictions for inclusion of blogs.

I was thinking that in order to be on the list the blogs would need to be as follow:

Real Estate Related Blogs: could be mortgage, home inspector...
Do-Follow for comments:
Comments on blogs need to have commenters name, or something non anchor text
Comments need to have substance to them, as relate to the blog post they are commenting on.
No Flaming the blog owner, or comments on the blog

So I guess we need to spread the word and add to the list.

Well Rhonda’s and Ashley’s blog comments are moderated.

Only comments that contribute to the conversation are included.

No Comment SPAM allowed. Otherwise the blog will lose all trust and authority. If it is NOT a useful comment for visitors or contribute to the conversation it will be deleted.

I am amazed that Rhonda’s real estate blog has not received more comments than it has on the Barack Obama post.

Google thought enough of the article to rank it in the TOP 10 for several key word phrases in less than 7 minutes. So a well composed comment would get a good back link.

So for all of the REALTORS® that keep posting here in the forum in search of back links I can only say, “You can lead a horse to water………”

I'm surprised I've never implemented this in my own blog. I guess its because I haven't worked very hard on making it do anything but give me a place to type.

I'm installing this now.

We use Lucia's Link Love plugin too, I think you must submit 3 comments before the no-follow attribute is removed. No spammers please!
