Default link exchange management project

Would anyone be interested in helping develop an "easy-to-use" link management application. One of the main problems of link directories is in the difficulty of putting the links on your site.

What I have in mind is an easy way to add a link resources to your web site. Here is what I have so far: http://www.realtyvisions.com/states/ The way it works is you only put actual state pages when you have links. Until then you can have any message for states without links and the state page is created dynamically. This can be tied into a backend database to hold the links or actual static pages. An extension of this would be having flexibilty to limit the pages to x number of links. When the number is reached a second page for the state is created and so on.

A little clarification. The project is software that will be made available to agents to put on their web sites to manage link exchanges. It will include the map and templating system (web site design not included) to add a resources directory to your web site. I would like to get some help to create a backend to store the exchanged links in a database. Its not difficult to do but I don't have a lot time to do it and I like cooperative projects.

I have spent the last couple of months having a product built that will accomplish all of that and more.

After managing my own link exchanges by hand for the last 4 yrs or so, I though it was time to fully automate the system.

I have used SEO Elite, seen reciprocal manager and linkmanager. This will out perform all of them. Besides automating the addition of links it will also perform an audit as often as you would like.

The audit will look for dissallow in the robots.txt, nofollow, noindex, etc. It will also check PR and index status. And much, much more.

I'll let you guys know when its ready. Or you can email me at jim@jimmessenger.com to be placed on a list to be notified.

Hey Frank, and AngelinCA;

Jim is right on with this new product of his. It was developed by one of my favorite developers and I know his coding style and its always very good and very sound.

I have had a chance to beta test it a few dozen times and see it in action and all I can say is WOW, this is really cool and so much utility value it screams quality and effectiveness for a wanton SEO freak like me.

The indexing features and the auditing abilities along with the countless other aspects are very very impressive. I'd say out of all the scripts I've looked at this one is literally built for a HOLLYWOOD style marriage between search engines and your websites including all the flair and press one could want.

Yep, its a good one...

Hi Guys,

We are also in the completion stages of a Links Management Program here at PREN.

So it sounds as though our Members will have a choice of software that actually lives up to expectations.

Knowing Jim as I do he will have a robust system with many “bells and whistles”.

Our program is not scheduled for release until September 1st due to the work being completed on our Template and Custom IDX Solution.

I will keep you posted as to the progress of all three offerings.

This is excellent guys, programs that reduce the effort in obtaining and managing links are definitely needed. Even though REW appears to be a magnet for link exchanges the effort of networking for the links is out of proportion to the results. These programs combined with a better way to network will provide some welcome competition with REW, but more importantly it will make it easier to get quality links.
