We would like to propose a link exchange with your site and four of our real estate web sites. Our preferred method of exchanging links is through mini-articles exchanges, but we are also accepting a
limited amount of traditional link exchanges. If you have any questions regarding this link exchange proposal you may contact us at (843) 290-0031.
The sites that I am performing link exchanges with at this time are:
Hilton Head Real Estate
Main Line Real Estate
Orlando Real Estate
Hilton Head Island Real Estate
Please note that the directory pages on the Orlando site are new and have not gone through a Google PR cycle (if you pay attention to toolbar PR). The domain has a PR4.
The Main Line site is a completely new design and the new pages have not gone through a PR update cycle. The domain is a PR3.
About Mini Article Link Exchanges
In order to combat link bombing and link spam, we believe that one of the next logical steps that search engines will take is to place less value on outbound links from traditional links pages. In fact, Matt Cutts at Google has publicly stated that it is already very easy for Google to identify traditional links pages. Our belief is that by creating content driven pages that contain outbound links that it will increase the relevenace of the page of the site giving the link as well as increase the relevance of the link for the receiving site. You have already taken the first step to providing link relevance by creating individual state pages for your link exchange partners.
The concept of mini articles is simple. Write 2-3 paragraphs that contain a total of 200-300 words about your region and real estate in that region. Within the article, place 2 links that point to unique pages on your web site (i.e. one link to the home page and a second link to an interior page). When you exchange mini articles you will place them at the top of the page, before any of your traditional link exchanges. In addition, you use a heading tag (i.e. h2 or h3) to introduce each mini article. For an example of a mini article page please go to
http://www.hiltonheadarealuxuryhomes...eal-estate.htm.
We suggest allowing only a maximum of 3 mini articles per page. After that, create a new page. We also suggest narrowing the focus of your mini article pages as much as possible. For example, let's say that on the page listed above we received a mini article exchange request from an agent in Reno, Nevada. We would then create a new link exchange page that focused on Las Vegas real estate and transfer the Las Vegas articles and links to that page and then place the new Reno article on the Nevada page.
Ideally, the best placement for mini articles would be on individual state pages located on a sub domain of your web site (i.e.
www.directory.yourdomain.com). This would help to ensure that the theme of your own site is not diluted (i.e. your city + real estate) as you add more and more mini articles. In fact, we will be moving all of our mini articles to sub domains by early 2007.
Yes - this does take a little bit of extra work. But if more and more webmasters take the time to provide quality link and mini article pages all of the participants will benefit in the long run.
Requesting A Link Exchange Request
Please send me a PM or an email if you would like to exchange links with the URL of your site. Please understand that your site must meet a strict set of criteria in order for us to place a link to your site on our sites. First and foremost, you
must have individual pages for each state. Also, your site must be a US real estate site. We do not echange links with international sites, mortgage sites, finance sites, or any site other than a real estate agent or brokerage. Occasionally we will exchange links with established directories.
The reason that we are strict in our link exchange evaluations is that we have found that
it takes far less number of quality links to have a positive impact on search engine rankings than by simply going for mass quantities of links from other real estate web sites. If your site does not meet our criteria we will be happy to explain why we chose not to exchange links at this time.
