Just to follow up on my last post. Got my Gateway tablet. It's awesome. It lacks integrated bluetooth, but no biggie, I just plug in an USB bluetooth adapter. The digital ink part is awesome. I can write on the screen like a note pad only I won't lose my notes any more.

Max...how is the battery life and does the Tablet offer the full spectrum of software a regular laptop would?

LVRE...if you really think about it what good is a notebook without good battery life!

Good point SDRE, it would be a waste of money to buy something that you could not even use most of the time! Good to hear that you found a tablet Portland, I am next up to purchase one!

Gateway claimed the battery life to be about 5.5 hours. But in real use, it's more like 4 to 4.5. It's still very good since I don't need to leave the computer on all the time. So far, I've taken the unit out all the time but it hasn't run out of juice on me yet.

Wow! That is good battery life! Good for you it sounds like a great buy! Gateway really stands by there product also I have heard. I think I heard they have good customer service should anything happen.

Ugh, I have been putting off getting one becasue of the hoildays, but I am not sure that I can wait much longer!! Thanks for the information though, it hepled quite a bit in determining which one I want for X-mas!!
