Tablet PC
The other day I saw an agent in town carrying a tablet pc while she was showing homes. I have to say, she looked so darn cool with it jotting notes on the screen as she was walking her clients through the home. Meanwhile, I was flipping pages after pages of paper looking for the right listing and scrambling to take notes on the floppy stack of paper. From that moment, I knew I needed to get a tablet pc. Anyone had any experience with them? I know that Gateway's come out with a powerful one with a Pentium M 2.13, 80 GB harddisk and up to 2 GB on board. And...it also has a 14 inch ultra bright screen.

Max... Technology on the tablets has come a long way in the past couple of years...when I was looking a couple of years back the battery life and fuctionality was not quite where it needed to be! I think that is changing rapidly today!

Portland, I know the feeling! I have the exact same problem. I am also in the process of buying a tablet PC. Which one have you decided upon, if any?

Yes, technology sure has advanced quite a bit! I don't have a tablet PC, but have also considered purchasing one. Any ideas as to what their battery life is up to now?

Not sure about what the battery life is now...However I did just see a commercial on Gateway's tablet and it was awesome...The other thing I check on is the amount of software that can be run on it!

Guys, I bought the Gateway CX200. From the specs, it looks awesome. Pentium M 2.13 GHz, 80 GB hard drive, 2 GB on board, 14 inch xbrite screen, built in DVD RW drive, Microsoft One Note, and read this, a 5 hour battery time on standard price. I can't wait for it arrive at my doorstep.

Sounds great, PRE. I am planning on checking them out this week...if I can get a chance. I don't know all that much about them yet, but 5 life hours appears to be decent???
