Lightbulb How to sell an "eyeball house"

Unusual houses, according to the Los Angeles Times, are "the trophy wives of real estate: They can cost a bundle, aren't especially practical, and some neighbors may wonder, 'What were you thinking?'" So how do you go about marketing an architecturally unique property? Check out "Power Tools for Managing Brokers" from NAR's Information Central to find out. This week you'll also find new entries on how some brokerages are taking advantage of new technology, the benefits of the team sales approach, and more.

Yes, but like you said, although unique homes may take longer to sell, they often times pay off in the end! I personally like them as well However, here in the Las Vegas real estate market there are not may unusual houses to chhose from! Most are track homes and look very much alike.

I agree, here in Henderson there are not alot of unique properties so I have enjoyed lately showing homes in the older part of town, the homes are unique.

I think that both old homes and brand new ones can be unusual. Old because they don't build homes like they used to (very custom, more lot space, etc), and new ones because they can be very modern and contemperary (glass, new materials, etc)!

Thumbs up

Great points...The older homes seem to have a lot more character than the newer homes...Although I prefer the newer homes! Less maintenance issues!

I really like the new, high tech, modern and contemperary homes..they are so different! Also, like you guys mentioned, older homes are neat, becasue it seems that no two are alike!

Personally, I like to sell newer homes because of fewer maintenance, oil tank, mold, dry rot, and pest issues (hence less headaches with inspections). But I love older Victorian homes to live in. What to do!

I agree newer homes are easier but a really nice Victorian home is so beautiful they definately don't make em like that anymore. There are lots of nice Victorians in Denver it was a popular town in the 1920's.
