When you are showing properties in a neighborhood that you have never sold in before!

Suggestions:
#1 Drive the area around the home of interest and let your client preview the neighborhood!
#2 Stop and ask neighbors what they think!
#3 Refer your client to the Local Crime stat website!

Any other sugestions?

I agree about previewing the area so you are familiar with it and surroundings. I wouldn't really suggest going to ask neighbors about the hood, it's a little intrusive and maybe not even safe. I would run some property comparisons so you know what things have sold for and current market pendings.

Thats a great suggestion although I always do that before I make an offer to make sure it will appraise...

I have used this numerous times and it works great! I'm sure that at some point a neighbor is going to say they don't like the area but to this point everyone has been totally pleasant and very pleased! It gives your client a piece of mind so to speak!

Las Vegas Homes

I think that we all do, but soemtimes, it is simply unavoidbale! In those insatnces, I do NOT reccomend talking to the neighbors!
