You are absolutely right about that! Especially have one at your open houses.

SDRE, in what situation would you use your laptop? I'm thinking that it might be handy while showing houses.

I went with the Sony Vio VGN-S260 from Best buy! At the time for a small compact lightweight with decent battery life and the new wide screen with great speed & wireless it was the best option I could find! Oh & if available works great with the Verizon wireless card for full access to the net almost anywhere in San Diego County! As far as when to use it as much as possible...I went with the Cannon i80 Mobile Printer so I can write contracts pull San Diego Real Estate comps show homes about anything you can do in the office I have taken it mobile! Works Great! And it all fits in one Carrying Case!

I load a program on my laptop called WyldFyre. It's kind of like MLS search with the database pre-downloaded from the Board. This way, I don't need to have internet connection and saves me wireless fees. Just have to download the database in the morning or before I do an open house. I can have every listing at my fingertips.

Great option Max...will it allow you to access comps and old closed sales from the past?

Absolutely. It does comps, mortgage estimates, buyer's tour package, and you can even buy an add on to have all the maps printed out as well. Pretty nifty piece of software.
