I haven't done open houses in years, especially with our fast market. However, with my move to a new office and not much happening at the moment (unfortunately-but I'm working on it), I have been sitting open houses for other agents in my new office.
I put together a folder to hand out made in conjunction with my awesome loan officer that has his stuff in it, my stuff (brochure, magnet, etc.) and a great brochure on the open house plus print-outs of the other 2 homes up for sale in the particular area, and then a photo list of all homes in the town in the same price range (the home is $419,900 so I gave all homes from $400,000-$500,000). I quickly pointed everything out in the folder to prospects and they loved it and gave me great compliments on this presentation.
My question: Do you have prospects sign in? I really think it's a waste. I know most lie or are already working with someone and I'm thinking that if they like me with everything I'm giving them, they'll call me if they're really interested.
I read where a guy lets prospects go through the house & then has them fill out a quick questionnaire & he says they're more apt to do this once they've been through the home instead of hitting them with a registration as soon as they walk in. Thoughts on registering at all?
