Music Makes Great Closing Gifts
Music does many things for a home and its occupants, such as add ambiance, entertain and help put the kids to sleep at night. So why not consider personalized music CDs as client closing gifts? From salsa to lullabies, here are three companies offering personalized music CDs, which come with jewel cases and inserts:
Sound Promotions (sound-promotions.com; 888-222-1278). Prices start at $6.60 per CD for a 50-order minimum ($60 setup fee). Your CD comes with a booklet and a jewel case with your company name or logo on the cover booklet, and your logo and custom message on the inside cover. You can add your logo to the full-color disc for an additional $100. A minimum order of 1,000 CDs and additional production time is required for full-color discs.
The CD Guys (thecdguys.com; 888-448-6410). Prices start at $6.64 per CD for a 25-order minimum ($50 set-up fee). Products can be personalized with your photo or company logo on the front cover, the inside front cover, the disc label and the back cover. The cost to personalize the disc label depends on volume. For orders fewer than 500 units, $1 will be added to the unit price; for orders of 500 units or more of the same CD title, there is no additional charge to personalize the disc label.
Legacy Promo (amusiccdgreetingcard.com; 877-381-7082). Prices start at $3.99 per CD (50-order minimum). Options, including custom logo or message on the cover and insert, start at 75 cents per CD. There is a $45 processing fee for quantities fewer than 50.

Hmmm, I had never thought of music as a closing gift for my Las Vegas real estate clients! I often do things like gift certificates, cookie baskets, etc, but not musical CDs! Have you had much success with using these SDRE?

Sounds like the dreaded break-up compilation disk...
All those meaningful songs we shared as we toured neighborhood after neighborhood...
Seriously though, may not be a bad idea. Music can be very personal. I imagine that this is where good relationship building comes into play.
On a side not, it does make me recall a friend of mine that purchased a sound system with pre-installed music for his store. The songs were supposed to be things that motivated people to buy while in the store. I used to give him a hard time about it, but as I type, I am starting to think that I should consider it for my cd player in my car!

Never thought of that. Wonder if you can pick your own songs to put on the cd. I could picture passing my cd's out all over mid-MO and everyone driving and listening to my music at the same time, I could take over the world , hahaha. Okay, just kidding. Music cd's, sounds good.

what an interesting idea. I can immediately think of a good number of clients who enjoy music so much that they'll welcome the gift.

Good but not good enough.
I consider a nice gift a very important step to perpetuate a good relationship with a client. Music is OK, but I like to impress a bit more. Depending on the amount of money I made, I would go for something more expensive. If I made 5k, I would think that 50 bucks isn't too much. And I like something that both spouses would enjoy. If it can be something related to the new home, even better.

I think that giving a thoughtful gift, in general, sets you apart from other Realtors. Most here in the Las Vegas real estate market do dinner gift certs and the such. Music is really unique!
