Has anyone here paid for the exclusive listing Forbes.com or Businessweek.com?
I have had two of my clients ask me about this service this week. It's not cheap for an exclusibe listing - over $400 a year for each of directory. I know the main sites drive a lot of traffic, but I don't have a clue if the directories drive traffic. There are links to the directories on each home page. The one on Forbes is buried at the bottom of the page. The one on Businessweek does have a left hand sidebar placement, but it is small and kind of gets lost in the rest of the stuff in that sidebar.
If you are not using the exclusive listing, have you tried the free listing? Do you receive any traffic?
The agent that asked me about this is taking a different direction. Her brokerage is now an affiliate of Christie's Great Estates (yes, that Christie's). She is doing major advertising in their catalog as well as the DuPont Registry.
