It is getting better but I am still upset because my blog is not indexed. For a while Cuil had also messed up pretty bad in terms of spammers. SEOs claimed it to be the worst product launch in history

Cuil is still a new thing. Let it grow, and maybe in a couple of years it'll give google a rebuff.

Or maybe not. I personally don't like the way it shows results and the minimal amount of customization possible.

Looks like Ask.com for me instead it was developed by ex-Google employees

I just used it to check my area for real estate and most of the results were not really relevent. But any time there is a new technology it takes time to get it right.

As of now, there are no news and updates regarding the cuil search engine. Does it mean that it is only a waste of time and efforts?

with 0.01 market share the answer so far is a resounding yes.
