Matthew turned two on the 18th, and since we both have a birthday during that time it commenced our annual "Man Week".

During Man Week we get to slide on our chores a little bit, watch football, scratch and burp, and perform other manly activities (when he gets a bit older we'll play golf all week). This week that included putting up the Christmas lights. Matthew supervised while I did the grunt work. BTW, I just love putting the icicle lights up on the 2nd floor eaves using a ladder that comes up a few feet short!

For his party we had his favorite Thomas The Tank Engine theme going. I thought his head was going to explode with all of the Thomas items around. We also rented a big moon bounce for the day for all of the kids at the party. He was a bit wary of it at first, but by the end he didn't want to get out.

The best part of this last week? I did not work and barely touched the computer for 4 straight days. For anyone that knows me, I rarely go more than a day without working. It was actually refreshing to ignore the PC for a few days.

Thanks for your well wishes. Now I need to get back to work

I barely worked at all last week too. My better half took the Red Headed Granddaughter to Louisiana for Thanksgiving and I spent all week with the 18 month old Granddaughter who reminds me of the cartoon character “Tasmanian Devil”. I failed miserably as a full time babysitter as she managed to stay 3 messes ahead of me (thinking to myself: no wonder my Daughter wants to work full time).

That's funny. Matthew is a little tornado. No matter how many organizer units we set up in his room, he just empties them out. The good news is that with a little prompting, he's learning to clean up after himself. I guess it pays off to let him follow our housekeeper around the house!

Speaking of my little one, he had his two year checkup today. He weighed in at a respectable 30 pounds, but he's already 3 feet tall - at two years old! I'm Andretti size - only 5'7". I kid my wife that if he didn't look so much like me I would get a DNA test

Wow, he is a big boy!!! My son turns 3 on January 4th and he is about 43 pounds and a little over 3 feet. Your son is definitely tall. You might have a basketball player on your hands

It sounds like you have him on the right track keeping the little ones organized and tidy can be a full time job
