Default Loan Officer.

Does any body out there have a competent loan officer the refer their clients to?

I sure do. Have 5 of them depending on situation and client circumstances.

SD, I think he's asking if you yourself have found a competent loan officer that you refer your clients to.... rather than asking you for the name of one.

And my answer is a resounding "yes". A smooth loan process is crucial to a buyer so when you find an especially competent loan officer (or 3 or 5), you'd be wise to keep sending them your clients!

Hey everyone.

I agree that a "good loan officer" is crucial. Service is everything. If you need some things changed I would push them on it. I typically let everyone know what is happening on the file on a daily basis. Literally! I kick them an email to give updates or at the very least let them know. I also found that getting the borrower a copy of the HUD the day before is huge!!

By the way, a manager or a broker would have more pull than a loan officer. Just food for thought.

Good luck everyone and let me know if you need any advice. I have seen it all.
