San Diego,
I'm pretty familiar with Listingware, and I think they do a great job. Here's their service area in California:
CA
Southern California MLS, Orange County
Sandicor, San Diego
Conejo Valley, Thousand Oaks
Southland Regional MLS, Van Nuys
Ventura MLS, Ventura

SDRE - I'm just glad I found the other thread. I was beginning to feel like the Medium!
Out of curiosity, what did you think of the Listingware offering?

I wish I could honestly tell you I have the ultimate IDX solution. Sometimes I think I do but that is my stupid ego getting in the way. What follows are my ideas and opinions. The best solution is the one that will serve your needs the best.
Several years ago I conceptualized an IDX to Open Realty conversion which is the base for many if not all IDX-to-open realty conversions. Unfortunately, many people took but NO ONE gave anything back. I have a new conceptionalization for an IDX which makes for a much broader range of ways to create new sites or to integrate IDX into an existing website whether the site is a template site, a blog site or a CMS like Mambo. It goes something like this: by using OOP (object-oriented programming) and CRUD (create, replace, update, delete) functionality I created independent objects to mimic real life type realty websites and the way(s) customers search. Because the objects are independent of each other they are used selectively. For the Realtors who only needs an IDX on their existing site they would use the only the listing object which includes the serach, search results and listing display pages.
I have seen on a forums, that will go nameless, that a custom IDX takes 40 to 60 hours of programming. I can't speak for the programmer but perhaps he is slow or he may be adding many other things besides an IDX but our experience is completing a custon IDX in 25% of that time.

I wish I could brag about my IDX solution. At first, everything seemed to run OK: fast, efficient, great customer servicing. But lately, we've been noticing discrepancies between the data in my IDX and the data in the MLS. In one instance, my IDX showed a condo with 1 garage, but in fact, it has none. That kind of quality makes me want to look for another IDX solution already.
