anyone have any leads on any web deves that do custom IDX programming I can own? im not interested in the hosted option like REW

I am not aware of any system that you could “own”. You can hire a developer to do a custom job but you will learn that gets VERY expensive and time consuming.

Open Realty has some code that you can set up the search portion of an IDX/MLS but has no backend capabilities that I am aware of. Even with the code you will need to have the IDX mapped unless you have the expertise to do it yourself. But that is only part of the puzzle. The easy part!

Unless you are prepared to spend many thousands of dollars to get a custom package the hosting packages such as that offered by REW and others is really all that is available as far as I know.

I am currently looking into idx and such to add to my site. Thanks for the heads up on a new resource for code and such. I am really starting to like this forum. It’s a little more helpful than another one I am on.

You will hardly "own" the code, but if you mean that the main blocks of code linked to the database will be on your server, then that's no big deal -- there are plenty of custom idx/mls offers that do that kind of thing.
