Hey Joshua, forgot to mention,

Custom IDX Solution - UltimateIDX (owners of this forum also do this)

But of course you should always shop around and pick the right fit for you.

I have seen just about all of the IDX systems out there. I dont work for Ultimate IDx I have no financial gain in making this recommendation. Ultimate IDx is the best out there I have seen. Mack was kind enough to give me backend access to their system and it ROCKS.

Its the most SEO friendly and has the best Ive seen so far for lead conversion and tracking. Plus its simple to customize. It also has features that a lot of the so called big boys havent even though of yet or been able to program/code in to their systems.

Oh ok, it was mentioned above, "simple to customize", so I wasn't sure if this was the case with you.

You know about most of what I've been through with my custom search, RETS, MLSNI etc... You've also been through all this already and have a unique outlook on what it takes for our area. Do you think they could complete what I'm looking for? Your detailed insight regarding this is appreciated.

I've been PMing with Mack about this a little.

Brian

I have no doubts in Mack's guys abilities but

#1 RETS (Chicago MLS language) is a nightmare in terms of status updates no matter where you turn to. It has nothing to do with programming, it is just how RETS is built.
#2 UIDX is a more controlled environment. You are giving up advanced SEO (even though Mack's IDX"s seo is beyond any other ones out in the market) for a wonderful backend.
#3 I really do not want to go in detail of my capabilities in open public. But all I can say is I would give anything for UIDX backend. But Brian from your point of view, it has a lot of pluses but also a lot of minuses (and only Brian's point of view because he asks for the impossible)

My communication seems to have been ended for some reason, I was ready to move forward with a project. Oh well... No worries. Things are busy around here I guess.

DEUCE; you want to have the IDX for Chicago? Is it going in your existing site. I work with Mack and the UltimateIDX in a design capacity. Maybe sending VegasMack a PM would be a good idea.

Chicago is a lofty MLS for sure.
The UltimateIDX is different in that when it was designed it was built to also provide an integrated CRM (Client Resource Manager) and to be easily added to existing sites. It works with all the flavors of CMS on the market like Joomla, Drupal, WordPress and it works with Open Realty among others.

Hi Jared. Thanks for checking in. I'm only interested in an IDX/VOW combo. I already have access to the raw data, I've been making a few attempts at this myself & with some help. The job entails being familar with RETS? I also would like to know if it would be possible to import our existing users via csv file. Please let me know what other details you need from me or questions you might have.

I'm not sure which site it will be yet (I have a few), maybe a couple. I more over want to take the next step with a quote process etc.

I've exchanged a few PM's with Mack, but I think he's busy with other things which is understandable given the recent ordeal.

How do you suggest we proceed?

I look forward to your response.

Thanks!

Brian
