Logo Question
This may seem like an odd question, but do you guys brand everything with your team or individual logo/ name (letterhead, pens, folders, etc), or do you simply use your company's logo?

Company is the way to go IMHO! All the Logo artists in the country have been e-mail blasting everyone trying to get them to create their own logo! Why absorb the extra cost???

People are lazy and everything you do subliminal works best. They may not bother reading your name, but when they see your logo and recognize it again, it will get their attention whether they want it to or not

While that is a great point Site, I tend to use my company's logo as well. I am with Re/Max and I tend to think that their logo is just as appealing and recognizable as any!

I'm with Site Tutor. The only thing about a brokerage brand is that you're not the only agent who works there!

Logos are just recognition which in our society tends to draw people in or make them feel comfortable.

Just remember that it takes time to establish your brand. Some say 2-3 years of constant exposure. Just about the time you start to get tired of your "look" people will start to recognize it. Try not to be trendy. What is cool or hip today might look somewhat out of date next year. Also, what message are you trying to send? Professional? Established? Hip? Large company? Small boutique?................People love brands

Logo's are great they may help people feel more comfortable if they see it enough they will recognize it. If you have a logo and people respond that is great. To make your logo appear everywhere is another story if you are very succesful people will see your logo everywhere and your name. People will remember who you are when you reach that status. If you work for different companies throughout your career then what logo are you always going to use. Most states have advertising laws about making your company logo be recognizable even if you have your own. However your name will always be the same. So your logo or your companies well yours if you don't work for anyone else. If you do then I believe legally we have to use theirs, but always use your name. Also if you think about all the logos you recognize think about all the money it took to popularize it. If you have that much money to put behind a logo on your own then that is great, but all the popular logos had whole companies behind them not individuals.

SDH&C ...both companies & individuals have spent Billions to have the logo and Branding of their choice!
