Default Marketing Advice

Hello Everyone! I'm starting a web-based real estate listing business in the New Jersey area, and was wondering if you all have any advice on how to attract real estate agents in the area to list their properties with me. It's a free service (at least for now) that essentailly gives reatlors FREE internet advertisement. But the problem I'm facing is how to get the message out to realtors. I've considered sending out direct-mail ads... but it doesn't seem to be the most cost-effective option (do realtors really check mail at the Broker's office? Or do mail typically get screened by a secretary). My other option is to do full SEO campaign and internet marketing.

Any websites out there that has a listing of real estate agents I can reach via email? Your expert's advice is much appreciated!

I know in All Agents have In-boxes in Las Vegas. Vendors often stuff the Agents In- boxes with flyers. That really seemed to be a very effective way to reach the Agents. I would read the flyers before I would the junk email.

Another approach would be to get with the pre-licensing schools and get permission to make a presentation to the class. New Agents need all the marking assistance they can get.

Your website will need to be listed in the Search Engines to get most Agents attention. You might check with our resident SEO Expert (HHI Golf Guy) to determine the feasibility of a SEO campaign.

Just my 2˘ worth,

~VegasMack

Default Internet Searches by RE Agents

Thanks for your comments. This brings up a good question... what do real estate agents look for when they search on the internet? It's clear to me that a buyer would log into Google and search for keywords like "find house in New Jersey". But would an agent search for the same keyword? Or do they search for something like "Advertise my property in New Jersey"???

Most of them that I know search for the keyword phrases that they are trying to rank in i.e. “Las Vegas Homes”, “Las Vegas Condos” and “Las Vegas Real Estate”.

If you rank highly in the keyword phrases that the agents are watching, you will accomplish what you are attempting to do IMHO.

Default Re: Marketing Advice

I think the real estate agent will look for the keywords like 'buyer' or 'seller.' Mostly an agent will list himself with reputed MLS or even property search portal. They do this to make themselves easily accessible to the clients.
