In 2006 & 2007 we have all seen certain issues in the Real Estate markets throughout the country. Such as the Subprime delima, fires in California or floods in other parts of the country.

My wife and I are looking to buy our first home in the DC area this year. Someone told us that prices will drop drastically by the end of the year. I don't know how much I would consider that person to be an expert in the real estate market. Can anyone tell me what they think will happen and what is the best course of action to take? We are looking to buy within the next two months and we definitely don't want to lose money on our investment. Thank you for your help with this......

I've personally seen a big drop off in activity during the past six weeks; which to me indicates we may see further price declines. Based on conversations with other people in the business it seems to be a common theme right now. On the other hand there is a big increase in the number of relatively qualified buyers looking for lease options deals and CD's.

That's true the price have dropped considerably in the last few months. It would be a good deal if you wait for a couple of months more. Good luck in finding one soon.
