From what I can see it was just a toolbar update. None of the sites that we manage experienced any drastic changes in the SERP's other than the daily up one or down one on a few KW's.
It looks like as soon as the new PR hit the toolbar, the backlinks were also updated. Of course, G's "link:" command only shows a sampling of links. For example, we have sites with 9,000 plus links and G only shows less than 200.
FWIW, I think that the toolbar PR is about 4-6 months behind what G uses as their internal PR for the ranking algo.

That is the same thing we are noticing here for the most part! We have seen very little change in postion as well... PR & Bls were it!

Like HHI Golf Guy said, Google is 1-2 updates behind.
This is on PR and back links I’m afraid.
Google works on their own time frame and all we can do is continue the basics; add content and back links.

They have been adjusting their rankings, just not a whole lot. Some things we went up a little and down a little on others. 'Bout time they update pr, though.

Toolbar PR was updated weeks ago.
Google results change by the hour as new data is propogated throughout all of the data centers. You may not notice changes if you are looking at small data sets, but when you start working with larger KW sets you will definitely see movement all day long.

I’m really over the PR thing, but I would love to see another BL update.
As HHI Golf Guy pointed out, Google SERPs change frequently, but substantial gains can not be seen without the BL update IMHO.

You can see substantial gains without seeing a Toolbar PR update.
Remember, the general consensus is that there are two PR's - one being an internal version that Google uses in SERP's and the other being what we see on the Toolbar.
From what I have read, no one outside of Google can prove this hypothesis, but it seems to be a reasonable assumption.
