Google Sitemaps is a relatively new service in an effort to expand Google’s coverage and reduce the time it takes to index your site.

The XML Sitemap format allows several different options allowing you to customize your Google Sitemap.

If is a free service and you are encouraged to re-submit as your site changes. You are required to have a Google Account which is also free.

While there are no guarantees this will improve your real estate website’s rankings in Google, it may be a good way to have your site crawled by the Google bots.

Sounds like a great Idea...How do you generate the XML code for the Google site map?

A great little Google Sitemap Generator can be found on AuditMyPc.com.

It’s web based, free and appears to generate some very clean code. Java is required.

Yes a Google API is required to submit your sitemap to Google.

You can apply for a free Google Account and recive your API.

Here is another tool you can use as well. It creates the XML code for you.

BTW - The Google Sitemap Generator on AuditMyPc.com also generates the XML Code. Just "Save" and pick the directory to be saved in.

Open the file, and there it is.

You don’t need a XML Generator is you can write the code yourself.

The nice thing about the Google Sitemap Generator on AuditMyPc.com is that it reports errors.
