I noticed changes too! I went from #5 to #8 and the sites that jumped me were Yahoo, Realtor.com and another non real estate site that has a page that talks about las vegas real estate. Looks like Google is starting to place more value on these larger sites?
I dropped. Anyone out there that wants to help me ascertain what might have gone wrong, please PM me. I have a few ideas and talking with others, always helps to uncover other issues.
If you guys haven't heard, Google has completely devalued paid links to your site, now only natural are worth anything. I relied heavily on natural links for my search ranking, and after this update my web site went up as far as 12 slots for some keywords!

OK, I know I have asked the question before but need to update the process... How does Google know the difference between paid links (general) and paid marketing on the local new paper website? Does anyone know if they have a list of sites they considered paid links? Do they now like reciprocal links (since no monetary action took place)?
