If pages are deemed duplicate content. The less authoritative ones get dumped or your overall site might get penalized. If you give the page url I can give you a better answer.

I agree. I went after the long tail hits long before I knew about long tails. I have over 50 1st page results with more than 20 of them #1.

Why don't your title tags fit the anchor text and overall content of your webpages. For example
Kitty Hawk page should have somewhere in the title tag

Fixed.
What is interesting is that those pages actually moved up in rank with the wrong metas in place.
