Default Really, Really Good SEO :)

When I'm out hunting for links I find all kinds of good stuff on the internet. On one real estate site I saw in big headline letters:

Attention All Search Engine Spiders:

followed by a paragraph starting: "This site features homes for sale, ..."
and then the names of all the cities in the service area.

So then I Googled the phrase "attention all search engine spiders" and I found a bunch of real estate sites using this "technique". I even saw one that used it in a home page title tag!

Oh man, I needed a good laugh today. Thanks!

I'm sure that the spider saw this title and stop browsing other sites to concentrate on this one.

I guess with the advances in A.I. spider must be now self aware. I wonder - would it help my SERP if I added "Meet local single search engine spiders" to my page text?

What technique? I was making a joke that some people actually think somethink like "Attention all search engine spiders" followed by spammy content makes a positive difference in search engine rankings.

If you want to exclude certain bots or spiders from your site you need to set the directives in your robots.txt file.
