I have been talking about it for months and it has consumed most of my time during that span, but we finally re-launched the
Hilton Head 360 web site.
The old version of the site was a piece of junk (as far as modern sites go), but it's design and structure made it tough to get top 2 search engine rankings with Google. Still, there were a bunch of top 10's and the site currently gets almost 2 million unique visitors each year. With better rankings we hope to add another million visitors in the next year.
As you poke around the site you might notice that we don't have any info in our Real Estate Guide and Vacation Rental Guide sections. That is because these sections are new to the site and we are actually selling these pages to local advertisers. They will provide most of the content, photos, and videos for these pages.
The Home and Lifestyle section currently has 8 or 10 articles, but we have almost 50 more to publish. These architecture and decor articles come from our print publication, Low Country Home Magazine.
In the upcoming months we are adding 3 more 360 web sites in South Carolina (Bluffton, Beaufort, and Charleston), 2 in Georgia (Savannah and Atlanta), and one in North Carolina (Charlotte). All in all we are developing over 150 local 360 sites throughout the country as well as regional and national sites. It's a big, big project that will keep me busy for quite a while.
