Do You Fear Your Webmaster?
I've decided to take a second look at one of my long standing blog drafts recently as I went through to discard more than 30 or so drafts I'll likely never publish.
While reading the draft, I realized that maybe if I could get some input I'd be able to publish the post without sounding so biased as I previously did. So I took a few hours last night cleaning up some of the wording for a pending post as I prepare it for publishing.
I'll likely ask questions in the post and will certainly include options for feedback but I figured maybe I would first gauge if such a topic would be of interest. Its too easy to point out the militant and often unethical practices of webmasters but is it appropriate to do so?
People defend unethical practices so long as they benefit from them but there are too many recent encounters with those that worship their webmaster that what they are speaks so loudly I can not hear what they are saying in their defense of their lord. I'm not concerned about those who have legitimate loyalty to one particular webmaster or another, the ones that concern me or those who are deliberately indifferent to the truth so long as they benefit. This will be a secondary motive in the publishing of that post.
Your thoughts?
