Default Re: Anyone here have a local fsbo site

I have a waterfront real estate site. We have been giving agents unlimited listings and FSBO's free listings. The problem we are running into is that both the agents and the homeowners will setup the accounts, but getting them to upload listings has been a slow process. For some reason, they just won't take the time.

We have been considering a csv or an rss feed upload, but the problem then will be getting the agents to get the feeds formatted correctly. I am also considering doing away with the free account setup and just being a paid listing service and uploading the listings ourselves.

I know there is a way of getting the listings in quicker, but I just haven't found it yet. Anyone have any automation tips on getting the listings and photos uploaded quicker?

Well I just went to your site and registered to upload several Lake Hartwell lisitngs. But when I click on submit lisiting it takes me to a payment choice page---if you are still offering it for free, how do I get around this page? This is maybe why agents/owners are not uploading listings. If it is still possible to get free listings, correct the glitch about paying & contact all registered members and you will be overwhelmed in a very short time-I love free sites but at least you were smart enough to let us link to our sites. No linking-I don't use, have to pay-I don't use. Realtor.com really soured me on paying for online advertising when I get better results from free sites.

Mark,

First off thank you for signing up. As stated in the Registration email:

"We will be assigning your listing service to you shortly (usually within 24 hours) and will send you an email to notify you that you can begin submitting your property listing."

We assign all free accounts manually. We do this to prevent people from spamming our site. If we didn't we would have people posting all sorts of junk. We only want to protect our site and preserve the value of the site.

You are now free to post your listings.

Regards,
Hubert Miles

My bad, didn't see the 24 hour waiting period. Guess you got to be proactive on the spam. But will be uploading shortly. Make em sell! Just finished uploading, very easy to use, recommend anyone with waterfront property give it a try!
