Default greedy buyer?

Have you ever had a buyer ask you for some of your commission?

Sure we all have I would guess. Buyers are not different than sellers, they all want a little piece of the pie. We had a lady about 4 months ago that is an investor and she told us that she would buy from us a few houses a year if we kicked back 1.5 percent to her..lol I said thank you but no.

Just about 3 weeks agho she called again because she was still receiving emails from us and said because of our nice job of staying in touch with her, she would like to buy now without the kickback. We put her under contract last week.

WOW! Great example LVH! I agree with the fact that they are just like sellers, you have to keep your control or they will walk all over you...

We just had a buyer ask for some of our commission! This is on a NEW development after we had already signed them in! A Doctor can you believe it? They ask for us to split it with them!

People are amazing. I mean, if you went to your hairdresser and just demanded that they do your hair for 1/2 the price, would they do it? NO! So, why do people expect for us to do so?

Because hairdressers get paid a fraction of what Real Estate agents do, I think that is their reasoning, but I agree with the principle point that if your working, your working, and somebody should'nt ask you for your money.

My very first lead was a referral through a friend and he asked for half of my commision and I said no it doesn't work that way. I had never met him before and it took me off guard. I was unsure if I did the right thing, but my gut instinct was that he would not be worth it. I thought it was insulting he did not even know I was new. I passed. I thought it was just because I am a woman. I guess cheapness has no sex discrimination.

That is true it really doesn't matter man or woman, some people will always be greedy. I also think the new people have to really be careful because they could be intimidated or think alittle is better than none, which is not always the case.
