There are a lot of questions surrounding short sales. Prudential is having a short sales semniar at the Red Rock Station this week. It will be interesting to see how many consumers show up versus agents.

That would be interesting to see how many real estate agents and consumers would show up for that. For us, the company (Coldwell Banker Premier) policy is that agents have to go through in company training before taking on short sales.

Being on the phones all day with the banks has turned into a full time job... as such we've set up a system to take care of this so we can concentrate on marketing the homes and getting them sold so people can move on.

Exclamation Re: Short Sales and how to work with those buyers!

Folks IMHO...

Anything to do with short sales and some bank owned properties is a lot like working for Uncle Sam.

1. You have to have extreme patience

2. You may never hear back from the officials in charge

3. You may be searching for a new career or be in a soup line after working through all the red tape and ending up no where

4. If you continue to stand after all the dust settles you might be alone with no client

That's certainly becoming a problem and I had to write a post about Las Vegas short sales after a listing I saw being advertised today.

Of course, the intentions are so blatant in the description of the property that it's being disclosed why the agent took the listing in the first place, or the agent really has no clue what they are doing in the first place. You Decide.
Thats classic, "Lets Try It", lol!

Wink Re: Short Sales and how to work with those buyers!

Tony that is just like the San Diego Short Sale listings you see on the market today!

Several Agents taking a stab at the unknown. I couldn't agree more IMHO...Why would you want to subject your client or yourself to all this stress? As if this business does not have enough already built in. I much prefer to stick with the standard listings and standard NON Short Sale or Bank Owned listings.

Keep it simple and most importantly keep your clients!
