Default Non Licensed Assistant

What do you think is a reasonable (starting) for a non-licensed assistant? At what point would you review and possibly raise that amount?

Of course, a lot of that depends upon the market. My wife is an assistant for a branch office with 5 or 6 agents and I think that she started at about $33k per year. Since she works for a large company, her maximum increases are at a fixed level based upon corporate policy for the year. But she makes another $6k-$10k per year in bonuses and gifts from her agents.

In our market, non licensed assistants are making about $10 to $20 per hour. At the low end, they typically get some sort of profit sharing / bonus at year end.

Here in the Las Vegas real estate market, my experience has been that a non-licensed assistant makes between $6-$20/ per hour. Now I know that this is broad, but it depends on what the person is doing. Are they simply filing and answering phones, or are they keeping up with large data bases, SEO, drip campaigns, etc? I also think that the age matters a bit. I have hired high school kids to do odds and ends and only paid $6-$8/ hr, and then I have has actual non-licensed coordinators who do quite a bit, and pay them between $15-$20/ hour.

REMAX LV, I tend to agree with you on this topic, as it really depends on the assistan't duties and responsibilities. There is a huge pay difference between making copies and filing escrow instructions, then there is doing client follow-up and working with spreadsheets and so forth. What are the rest of your thoughts on this? I would like to compare with someone's thoughts who is not in the Las Vegas real estate market (or the Oregon one!)...
