Thumbs down Done any deals involving FSBO's?

I would like to know if any of you out there have had the opportunity to do any deals where there was a for sale by owner involved somewhere in the line. I am now and it is turned into a huge mess. Not on my side but my buyer is a FSBO and their home is in escrow and in order for our deal to turn out he needs to be closed on his first. He started escrow selling his home before we started on buying his new one and that one almost cost us our deal since we are not able to close on time it is a long story but I am curious to know if any one else has had to deal with it?

Well, it sounds like you are in a bit of a rut. I am just reading this on the 3rd, so what was the outcome? Were you able to close? I do not have much experience with FSBOS, so I would be interested to see how things panned out.

Well the deal couldn't be done since the FSBO's buyer was a classic bait and switch seems to be a common story when people try and sell their properties on their own scam artists try and take advantage and delay delay delay until the FSBO's is desperate enough and then they say they are only going to pay an amount significantly less and usually the FSBO takes it since they usually go on and try and buy another home. Some people are so evil in this business. Now the FSBO has to go and get an attorney if they would have only gotten an agent in the beginning when will they learn. I will let you know what is going to happen next when I hear.

SDHC, so sorry to hear about your FSBO blues. I just got through with one. FSBO seller and I represent the buyer. Buyer paid my commission, so that was great. Keep us posted.

FSBOs are typically tricky, in my oinion anyways. I have never had one so smoothly, which is why I tend to stay away from them! I am sorry to hear about your experience, but hey, at least you now have experience with FSBOS!!

There you go, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger! Like RE/MAX said, now you have some FSBO experience under your belt.
