Default Mold ?

Once a home closes, and both an inspection and a walk-thru have been completed, if a client come to you with something like mold, how do you determine who is responsible?

I would bring it to my broker's attention because they are probably going to have to look through all aspects and details of the transaction. I think that would be your safest bet, but as long as you had an inspection, etc, it appears that you would not be liable.

I would go with what LV Homes said and bring the matter to your managing broker. In my personal opinion, I agree with LV Homes, and do not see how you would be held responsible if the home is already closed.

I would be interested to know who would be to blame would it be the inspector then if it had an inspection? And seems like you would not be responsible if you had an inspection done or even a signed inpection waiver. Keep us posted.
