Default Any advice?

I have a friend who came to me with a problem. She is thinking of selling her home because of this problem. She has a neighbor who harasses her and the police seem unable to help her because this person has not done anything illegal yet. He has a camera aimed right at her back porch where she sits out, he watches her every move. In fact getting wise to it, she out up a pole on her side of the yard with a star-burst on it so it blocked the view of her, she only puts it up when she is sitting out. It did not block the view if his own property which is why he is allowed to have the camera.

Well the other day he called to police on her because she had company over and he could not see what was going on. The police just laughed at him, but this is typical of things he does. This has been going on for a year. Both she and her husband have heart conditions. Everyone has tried to talk to this man to no avail, no one knows what his agenda is, plus he is an ex cop.

She has also put up her own cameras and have shown the police of his antics, but they said sorry. Now here is my dilemma. I have offered her advice, even did a CMA for her, but she is still unsure if what to do, she loves her home and neighborhood and wants to relocate if she only has to. But nearby as she watches her grandchildren after school. I do not want to push her, yet I feel she is in danger. But on the other hand, do I want to get involved with this wacko if we sell the home. I can not alert other agents and a sign is out of the question. I am really confused as to how should proceed from here. Her home is lovely, is perfect, in a good location and I know it will sell easily as it is in move in condition.

Why has the neighbor become obsessed with her? But more importantly, how will you answer the question "What is this neighborhood like?" Answer: Oh its great except for the nutjob right next door who caused my clients to want to move! Your friend needs to consult a local atty, see what she can, possibly stalking laws apply! How does she know that after she moves the harassment will stop?

Barbara that is great news!!!

You know it is really a tough issue when you have something like that happening, especially to a good friend and then the Real Estate Client possibility and the right and wrong things to do.

I think I would have had to recommend she use another Agent on that one to stay out of the line of fire if you know what I mean.
