Your best bet would be to join a team with strong leadership and that provides training. Its very hard to start out on your own without any support. BUT be sure you interview a lot of teams before you decide to join one.

If you join a good team they will probably teach you what you need to know. They should show you how to look for listings, how to operate on the internet, how to obtain information from forums like these, etc. If you are really wanting to make some money, I would not reccomend just sitting and waiting for buisness to come to you. I would tell you to take action, get your feet wet, ask questions and keep your ears and eyes open.

I agree with everyone's advice thus far. In my opinion, having worked here in the Las Vegas real estate market for many years, the best thing about joining a team is that they typically provoide you with business/leads, which is one of the hardest parts of the industry! By working those leads, you will gain experience, and that is the most important thing!

You should wait untill you know your broker and team name so you do not have to change your cards. Just look for a local print or graphics shop and they should have some deals for your cards. It also depends if you want to get full color cards with a picture or just plain with your name.

Zagnee. No point printing cards when you don't know what's needed on the card. If you want cheap printing, try Vistaprint. It's anon-line shop. A quality, yet still reasonably priced shop is called overnightprint. com

Business cards..
I agree with waiting to sign with a broker before ordering business cards.. they will have a printer on account and you could save $ on setup fees

Atlanta, find a very good mentor and start going on presentations and in negotiations with him/her NOW! I had a great support of top agents when I first started and shadowed them, went and sat at thier Opens, asked them why they said that or this.... the course is text, real estate is real life.
Get out of the 'boat' and in the water--do it now!
