Ok after much examination I'm able to recover the deleted posts that had been removed via the compromised moderator account.
I'm not going to republish the threads until the Federal Bureau of Investigation has a chance to examine the server data being provided from the server company and the other logs that are being turned over.
Upon receiving approval to return the data I'll restore what posts I can.
I'm going to be updating this forum only after the investigators have a crack at it to the latest version of vBulletin 3.6.8 and I'm going to hold off for now in my changes or attempts to fix the session error that surfaced last night.
Since such news is ideal for other webmasters who may have had concern about vBulletin I've posted the news that it IS NOT a compromise in the security features of vBulletin over at WebMasterPost
