I am sorry to hear what happened to PREN - I don't know Morgan or haven't had any run ins with him, but I just don't like the way they work or treat other members of their forum.
And this was the longest ever thread to read, it has taken hours to read the whole thing, go back and forward from site to site with all the links concerning this - and one this that I noticed about some of the comments regarding the "cult following of REW".
There are some real weirdos that swear by REW forum - it is a cult, one that I have distanced myself from, I have never agreed with their beliefs and always thought there was something really strange going on over there and what they have done by touching someone else's property without the consent of the owners of PREN is way below the belt.
I know I haven't posted much here (too bloody busy!!!) but I know where I will be sticking to in the future.

Being “too busy” is a good thing raubin. We are just happy that you are here.
I had to get on my soap box this morning spelling out the differences in real estate forums that really explains the focus of PREN from its concept.
If you are interested you can Read More Here!
Hope to see more of you!

Re: Real Estate Web Masters Sink To New Low
Just for kicks and giggles I checked several blog searches and google and found there has actually been quite a few people who have picked this story up. Other than the blogs at REW everyone who has commented on this subject in their blogs or social network finds what happen to be criminal. Morgan must have been passing out free Kool-Aid the day everyone wrote in their blogs at REW ..LOL
I am amazed at the interest in this subject. I found reference to it on Google for Morgan Carey plus SEO Guy and real estate webmasters It also seems these same keywords are found in Google as well.
Just for the record several of these blog post were not from anyone who has participated in this thread. So there is interest out there about this and maybe Mack and the PREN admins will get justice for this criminal act.
If for no other reason alone this should teach people to change their passwords from one forum to another. There are some good people at REW, some who dont like Kool-Aid and based on real estate webmasters past history with banning members it might be wise for those current members to change their other forum passwords if they are the same as the ones they use at real estate web masters.

Re: Real Estate Web Masters Sink To New Low
Hi Bruce,
It is a feature built into vBulletin. It may not work with Blogspot, I am really not sure.
I wish I would have had more time to visit your forum. There are not many places that a “so called” like myself can go to and feel comfortable nowadays.

Well, the REIR forum isn't all that active these days, but you are welcome anytime.

I don't mean to be a pain in the ass, but like Neodemes, anonymity on the web amongst real estate and web professional is one of my pet peeves, too.
Neodemes, aren't you anonymous? Unless I missed it, your identity is not disclosed here anywhere. You could be the person stated in the second paragraph of the REI website, I guess.

Re: Real Estate Web Masters Sink To New Low
The person "KING" may be confused about a few important things. PREN is a forum and not a business that provides products and services. I'm not exactly sure where people came under the impression that PREN and REW were in some way competitors when they are not.

You would guess right. I'm also identified in the pages of the first sig link, as well.
I make no bones about who I am, and am far from anonymous in my extensive travels through cyberspace.
King, on the other hand, runs his mouth in total anonymity.

I would assume they are just talking about number of voices in the forum, Jared, nothing more. Originally (at least to me) REW was "just" a forum. Later they began doing web sites and stuff, as far as I know, but I value it as a forum -- and it is a very active forum. I've been a member of their forum since May 2004 and I'm still a member and expect to remain a member for a long time. A forum isn't "just" the person or persons that owns it, creates it, manages it, or administrates it. A forum is the "people" that participate in the forum - the individuals -- and there are some good ones at REW.
Same thing with PREN. The forum is the "people" who participate in the threads and contribute. Not who started it or who runs it or who administrates it. It's everybody and they are all individuals.
