Little Fact for all to know...Morgan will not agree but as stated before I dont give a flying ^%$#.

REW was my idea...REW was my work at the start...The forums and Titles setup were mine. If I didnt give Morgan this idea he never would have figured out how to get in to the real estate side of seo/sem.

It started because Morgan had myself and Jim Messenger as his only 2 real estate clients. Since Morgan Carey/ Seo Guy seem to truly care about our success online I thought if anyone deserved to attract more business it was him.

Since I didnt really know his true nature at that time I told him if he would set up a forum and offered free advice to a degree it would help him attract more agents that he could pitch his products too.

I personally spent many late nights not only setting up that forum but also going out to other forums that I was on and promting this new REW forum. ( Yes It Was Wrong Of Me To Do This But I Thought He Was A Good Guys And Deserved It) I put my rep on the line for this piece of ^%$#.

So for all of you out there who think Morgan Carey is this great business genius, think again. Morgan has surrounded himself with other people that come up with these great ideas and he just twist them around some and calls them his own and when he is done with you and the help you give him..he throws you away like a dirty pair of soxs.

As far as law enforcement goes, since this appears to be a cyber hacking case you can always call your local FBI office and see if they are interested in the case.

As far as international politics go, because of our various business and trade agreements with Canada, I sincerely doubt that he can hide behind Canadian Law, especially when your server was violated.

As far as REW goes, a few years ago I called them out on their link building scams (dropping links, orphaned recip pages, etc.) But he always had an excuse for the problems. After that, I simply ignore their requests.

Since my post was also deleted along with the original thread post, feel free to contact me or have law enforcement contact me if needed.

I'm not sure about easily re-written, but none the less I looked a few moments ago and the server time stamp on the core files and they are unchanged since I updated this forum.

If this were a hacked vBulletin install (which it is NOT) then I'd tend to suspect that there could be an issue like that. Its not easy and logs would indicate a very lengthy and persistent presence of a the questionable IP range we have now identified.

Yes but NO, I considered proxies in case someone suggests that and only a half dozen or so made connection in the past 30 days its not via a proxy.

Its not that he can hide behind it. The fact is its easy to get a civil judgement against him. The problem is collecting that judgement. When I had issues with him I did speak with my attorney at that time and was advised that we could sue him in civil court and would get a judgement but that it would be difficult to collect in Canada and he has no US assets. The cost to levy bank accounts or other assets in Canada can be even more costly than the judgement you receive.

However here is an idea. I am assuming REW is registered in the US. His servers are most likely US. Get a judgement and file for a writ against his forum. Locate the domain provider and server company and have them served with the writ to take ownership of that REW forum assuming they are US companies. I am sure you could sell that for a few bucks.

My thoughts from the start. There is no indication of brute force or hacking and I've spent the past two hours looking at everything I have access to. I don't have access to raw server logs but those would reveal the most information.

None the less, this is a truly un-ethical, deceptive and not too out of character act from those people. Criminal? Well I highly doubt it because if its just a compromised password and some forum edits where there is no real loss or disruption, so every indicator is that it isn't criminal.

I meant that it is possible for someone to change the PW system and encryption on their own forum, or added code to log user ID's and PW's. That person could then access accounts on other sites where the user used the same ID and PW.

Ohhh got ya. yeah my bad, I was so focused on the security issue here that I didn't quite catch that.

It annoys me when this stuff happens because it occupies so much of my time to figure it out that I just blow an entire day.
